Most people have heard of vitamin C and have heard that it’s good for the immune system… in fact, people have been recommending hot lemon for colds since before they knew what vitamin C was.

…but did you know that it is also good a powerful antioxidant? Antioxidants are health promoting substances which help prevent cell damage in the body, so can help reduce many risks, including heart disease and cancer.

Vitamin C is also a co-factor essential for the production of serotonin and dopamine, which are our happy mood-lifting neurotransmitters. 

So, increasing your vitamin C levels by increasing your intake of whole foods containing vitamin C might help boost your mood as well as your immune system.
