Patience and perseverance
Big things happen when you’re not noticing. I started crocheting again at the beginning of the pandemic. I find it really useful to have something to do with my hands if I am just sat in front of the TV or watching a movie with the kids. It keeps my hands busy and distracts me from the temptation to reach for the snacks. I also love just sitting and crocheting for a bit, it’s very mindful just to sit and focus on the yarn and hook. All of these anxieties are a normal part of change, a normal adjustment reaction. But the fact that is normal doesn’t make it easy.
What went well today?
Take a moment to be mindful and think about what went well today. When we think about our day it’s easy to jump to the things that went badly or less well. Maybe you ate all the things you said you would avoid, maybe you didn’t do your workout, maybe you didn’t get out for a walk, or you didn’t manage to tick off all the things on your to-do list.
